Our Uganda portion of the trip came to an end on Friday the 25th of July. We completed our time as a team with a short safari. It’s a great debrief time for the team as we have time to discuss and process all we experienced. It’s a portion of the trip that all team members are required to fund themselves, as it is not connected to our mission.

After that we headed to Entebbe for our farewell dinner, a night of rest in a hotel, and an early morning arrival at the airport. We estimated in our debrief that members of our team taught/preached at different devotion times and services over 40 times! We had many opportunities to share the gospel and encourage believers.

We also accomplished a great deal in our manual labor projects (mural painting and pavers), physical care (well child checks), mentoring, and staff trainings. Our time in Uganda was so full!

It’s hard to imagine that Bill and I are only half way thru our time in Africa!

Bill and I arrived in Malawi on Friday afternoon. After sleeping 12+ hours, we enjoyed a full day of rest.We enjoyed coffee on the porch and took time to reconnect after being apart so much in Uganda. Our team was so large that we had a women’s dorm and a men’s dorm, and Bill spent most days in the medical clinic while I was working with the spiritual care team in another area of the campus.
We will attend church tomorrow morning and then head to church to pick up the rest of the team. We are excited to begin ministry in Malawi!
